I bought a jar of Quince Jelly at the Sledmere gift shop (with their own label) because I can’t eat jam with bits in. Well, it was a revelation! The flavour is subtle, not too sweet and a real taste from the past. I had some with Brie on crackers and it was just perfect. Now I’m looking forward to experimenting with it with other cheeses and meats.

Useful as a base to cheese on a croissant, a superb accompaniment to chicken or turkey, and absolutely wonderful as a sweetener in preparing a jus!
